Read every text run from a PDF and hand you a clean .txt file, plus a copy on screen. Scanned image-only PDFs won't have text to extract — use OCR for those.
How to extract text
- Choose your PDF file. Files stay in this browser tab.
- Select Extract Text and download the result.
Local processing: document contents are handled on this device. Your hosting provider still receives ordinary web requests for the page and application files, but not the document you select.
Is Extract Text free?
Yes. There is no account, watermark, daily quota, or payment step.
Does my file get uploaded?
No. The selected file is read and processed by code running in this browser tab. The document bytes are not sent to PDF Pouch.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes. Safety limits prevent unusually large or complex files from exhausting your device memory. Individual files are limited to 100 MB and PDFs to 500 pages.
